Our Mission
The Computational Science Club (CSC) fosters a community of energetic and committed undergraduate and graduate students who want to develop and refine their ability to employ computational tools to overcome challenges. Members come from diverse backgrounds and may have no previous computational experience but share a common interest of using computers to facilitate their work and/or research.

Learn
Learn a little or learn a lot! Acquire an understanding of what computational science is, why it is useful, and what its limits are through our free online lessons. Explore the diverse world of computational science and familiarize yourself with computational research being conducted at USF, by students and faculty, at our annual Spring and Fall Research Showcases. Gain the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to get started with computational research and learn how to find a research group that is right for you!

Grow
Grow as a leader by becoming an officer or signing up to organize an event. Experience personal growth and development by presenting your work to the club privately or at our annual Spring Student Research Showcase which is open to the public. Develop expertise on a topic by becoming a mentor to other club members or creating new lessons for the community. Thrive as a student supported by a network of like-minded peers and set yourself up for success in the future as a professional and in life in general!

Network
Get to know other undergraduate and graduate students who are excited about computational science and high performance computing. Meet research faculty from across USF who are employing computational methods to solve complex problems in science and engineering. Take a break from work and join us every other week when we get together for fun, food, and games near campus!
